temperature of minus fifty (50) degrees for a period of twenty-four (24) hours. The monitoring device was in continous operation during this exposure to this extreme low temperature.

The Impact/Shock Test was performed to determine the dock monitoring device's ability to withstand an impact of being knocked from its mounted position at the loading dock. This test subjected the device to an impact of not greater than thirty-six (36) inches. The monitoring device was not in operation during this test but was in operation prior to and immediately after the unit was subjected to the impact.

The Vibration Test was performed to determine the dock monitoring device's ability to withstand the effects of vibration from a truck making contact with the loading dock. The Vibration Test consisted of attaching the monitoring device to a mechanical vibratory machine and tested for thirty (30) minutes. The monitoring device was in operation during this part of the test.

The Water Spray Test was performed to determine the dock monitoring device's ability to withstand the rain/moisture that the unit would be subject to at the dock location. The Water Spray Test was performed for a total time of three (3) hours while the device was fully encapsulated by spray/mist. The device was in operation during the Water Spray Test and the audible and visual functions were periodically monitored during the test .

RESULTS:

This device was subjected to tests that simulate real world situations the device may see in the field after final installation. This Performance Test had acceptable results based on pre-determined acceptance criteria. None of the individual parts of this Performance Test caused the unit to fail visually or audibly.
